ok so i know that having a baby makes you a little crazy sometimes,

He doesn't sleep at night...u go crazy
He asks to be fed every five minutes... you go crazy
He wants to be held when you are working...you go crazy
He is crying in pain...you go crazy



My baby is colic so i can understand what you go through when you try your best to calm your baby but he just doesnt want to stop crying. It is ok to sometimes feel like things are just too much for you but by supporting each other (you and your spouse) you can keep a balance and manage it without the frustration.

after sleepless and tiring nights my husband sometimes asks me "Ab ara hai ghussa?" (Do you feel angry now?) my reply is always... NO!

I might feel tired and exhausted but i never feel angry.

You wanna know the secret?
It is because i am grateful!

Grateful to Allah for giving me this blessing.
Ever wondered what your life would have been like if you couldn't have your baby? Ever?

i am not trying be some righteous mother by saying all this. All i mean is from now on every time you feel angry and irritated because of your baby, think about the people who are trying their utmost to conceive. Think about those who will give away anything for these sleepless nights. Think about those who actually spend sleepless nights because they DON'T have a child.

Think! and then you wont feel angry or frustrated, instead you would want to hold your crying screaming child, close your eyes and just thank Him for a wonderful blessing.

Hey we are humans and i know it feels like things will always be like this but trust me they wont. Gradually your tiny little baby will grow up,
Then, you will all look back at the time, while your child does his homework, or is going off to college, or will be getting married and you will ask your spouses "you remember how we had to hold his neck cause he couldnt control it himself and look at him now"

With this thought, let me get back to Little Munchkin and give him a little kiss.

Another day, another review and yet another lipstick ;)
i know i have already confessed my love for lipsticks numerous times but i just cant get tired of saying this! i LOVE lipsticks!!

and this time what lipstick did i get to try out? Jordana Lipstick in Raspberry.
Berry shades are my jam they are like my thing yo! and i can not stop choosing cherry redish type shades every time i have to pick a lipstick.

Naturally i was glad i got this shade when i found it in my goodie bag. i was one happy bee.

Jordana Lipstick is contained in black and silver packaging with Jordana labelled on it. The transparent lid closes with a click securing the bullet inside but to be honest it does not look very sturdy and you should be careful when handling it.


Raspberry is a beautiful cherry red shade that Asian skins can pull off easily. Its the sort of color that looks fabulous on mehndis. I dont know why the shade reminds me of mayons and mehndis hehe. Probably because the last season every makeup artist was using this shade for mehndi brides. Pair this lipstick with subtle gold and brown eye looks, the lip shade being the center of attention will pop and look absolutely gorgeous. I already have a look in mind for this which i will try out soon in sha Allah.


The texture of the lipstick is glossy and buttery. I prefer using such lipsticks because i have super dry lips and matte lipsticks and i arent really very good friends =p
The lipstick keeps my lips hydrated and stays for good long hours. Of course touch up is required if you eat and stuff but i think its fine since i always like to retouch my lipstick after some time. The lipstick glides smoothly and doesnt get in your fine lines making your lips appear fuller and yummier ;)

The Verdict

A few weeks ago i revealed to you guys the goodie bag Jordana Pakistan and J4G were generous enough to give us. The one from Jordana also contained an eyeliner which we shall be reviewing today. Click here to find out what else was in the goodie bags (yes there was more than one hehe).

I absolutely love testing eyeliners cuz i feel it enhances our desi eyes so well. One product that every single girl. whether she is into makeup or not, definitely has in her vanity is an eyeliner so yeah this is an important review people!

I always test the products myself but this time i decided to add a little twist. I gave the eyeliner to my sister to test out since she has been looking for a good eyeliner lately. I discussed it with her and she said she was up for it.

So i asked her the problems she faces with her current eyeliner and why she wants to switch.
She told me she ordered a much raved and hyped about eyeliner pencil in hopes that this will be THE ONE but failed miserably since all it did was make her look like a racoon. She complained that it never stayed on and was not the very blackest black that she wanted.

I told her to switch to Jordana Color Xtend Eyeliner in Black Out, use it for some time and let me know what she thought of it.


A few days later she messaged me saying that she absolutely loved it.
According to her Jordana Color Xtend Eyeliner does not smudge on her smudge prone eyes and did not make her look like a panda. Mission Accomplished!

Now let me tell you guys what i thought of the product.

The Verdict

This is a review for a product that according to me is the most essential item in my makeup stash; Lipstick!
That is right! i absolutely love lipsticks. Beautifully made bullets with amazing colors *sigh* just so yum! Lipsticks are one thing that i consistently use daily. So naturally you would understand my excitement when i found out that Odho Cosmetics has sent me, not one or two but FIVE different shades of lipsticks to try out.

Packaged in gold and maroon bullets these babies look gorgeous at first sight and entice you to try out the shades.

Odho Cosmetics was one of the pioneers to come up with locally made cosmetics in Pakistan. You can find their makeup stocked up at many supermarkets and retail makeup stores. They have come up with wide range of colors and items in their collections and are ready to expand their line even more.

Coming to the item in question at the moment.
All of these lipsticks are matte but somehow i feel they all have very different textures. Here are the shades i received.


Rapture:

Rapture is an amazing maroon shade and i instantly fell in love with it. Perfectly matte and gives you a gorgeous red pout. It did become a little flaky after a few hours and i had to scrub it off and retouch it. Although it is matte and i dont usually go for matte lipsticks but i love using this lipstick solely for its gorgeous shade.

Peaceful:

Peaceful is a purplish shade. The shade is not very appealing to me perhaps if it would have been a tad bit darker i would have liked it. i dont like the texture either it settles in the fine lines of my lips and makes my lips look super dry and flaky, Also the lipstick broke off from its umm fixture? i dot know what its called any ways its not sturdy at all so you better be careful when handling it.

Obnoxious:

Obnoxious is a copperish shade with bits of shimmer which i never thought i would ever like but its my favorite after Rapture. Although, like the shade peaceful it settles in your fine lines (use some vaseline or lip balm before applying the shade) but it doesnt dry out too much and looks really pretty. The shimmer doesnt show up very much but makes your lips look lustrous so that makes it worth the use.

Pleasure: 

Pleasure is a pinkish nude shade with a ton of chunky glitter in it. The shade is really pretty but the glitter ughh the glitter ruins everything. I am not a fan of chunky glitter at all and this shade has loads of it which seriously sucks. Its super drying and flaky as well. Unless you are one to go for glittery stuff then help yourself but i would suggest you skip it if you are like me and dont like glitter.

Bashful:

Bashful is a dirty brown matte shade which is not very wearable to be honest and that is the reason i reviewed it the last. You can countour with it though because the shade is perfect for that So if ever Odho Cosmetics decides to come up with a contouring kit they know which shade to go for haha. Anyways, the formula is like Rapture and doesnt settle in your fine lines. Perhaps you can try it for different looks for cosplay or maybe when you are trying to go for a gothic look.

Verdict:

Okay i know i promised a review regarding a lip product but i couldnt help it. I started reading this book last night and i just finished it. I just HAD to review it and let others know about it.

So finally after almost half a year i have decided to get back to blogging. I have been procrastinating for ages now and was semi active on my Instagram account sharing looks and a few events i attended over these months. Now that i am back i plan to give more time to my blog and invest my time in writing something worthwhile for you folks!

[Karachi: April 13, 2015]: The Pakistan Advertisers Society has announced that PAS Awards 2015, a star-studded gala awards function celebrating the best of advertising initiatives in Pakistan, will be held at the Expo Center in Karachi on April 25, 2015

PAS Awards are recognized by advertisers and agencies throughout Pakistan as the most prestigious award in the industry and over the years has become an industry benchmark for evaluating the most effective creative campaigns and marketing efforts.

This year, apart from the regular 21 categories, Pakistan Advertisers’ Society unrolled five special categories namely Passion for Pakistan, Best in Digital, Media Innovation, Best BTL Activation and Best Platform Award that will honor the most innovative marketing ideas.

The regular categories spanning across various segments had an overwhelming response this year from the agencies and brands across Pakistan totaling 263 entries. Most of the young ladies probably know about the popular brand Claire's . For those of you who dont, it is an international retail accessories brand from America very popular among youth around the world.

I had always heard so much about Claire's and last year i was lucky enough to check out an outlet in Madinah. I was over the moon and took my time browsing, all the while thinking "will it ever open in Pakistan?"

My wish was granted on 13th March 2015. Cosmo Group has officially opened the first Claire's outlet in Pakistan at Dolmen City Mall - Clifton. I could tell i was not the only one waiting for it to open here. The crowd was over powering. When i arrived could not even see the entrance of the store. It was jam packed inside and out. Everyone was super excited. Unfortunately i had missed the whole event and the activities Cosmo Group had organized for the day. But i did spot a young Elsa and a little princess in the crowd. I am guessing they were a part of the fashion show,

Unfortunately i did not have enough time to actually buy anything but i do have my eyes on some of the pieces for next time. Check out some of the things i loved.

I hope Como Group continues to bring more such amazing brands to Pakistan as they have done in the past.

Last month, i along with my cousins and aunt decided to watch a movie at Atrium.
After going through all of the movies being played, we reluctantly decided on Na Maloom Afraad.
I realize i am very late in reviewing this movie. but better late than never.

Na Maloom Afraad is a movie about 3 poor fellows who are brought together by fate and end up making the ultimate plan to get rick quick. What follows are hilarious situations where they try and execute their plans all the while waiting for the only thing our politicians can give Karachi. That is right, strikes. Why were they waiting for strikes? What was their "get rich quick" plan?

As soon as the movie started we were so happy with our decision. The story and direction is amazing. The actors have performed splendidly. Although, Mohsan Abbas Haider's acting becomes a bit over at some points.
The characters will make you fall in love with them. Fahad Mustafa and Javed Sheikh's dialogue delivery should definitely be praised.

I do not want to reveal the ending but it was definitely a breath of fresh air. I wanted to get entertained and that is what the movie did.

The only thing i did not appreciate was the item song "Billi"
There was absolutely no need for the song or Mahwash Hayat 's character in the movie. People might think otherwise but i don't believe every movie needs a item song for it to be a hit. The movie itself was so good i can not think of a reason why the movie makers thought it would be a cherry on top. It definitely wasn't.
Sorry, not sorry! but that is just how i feel.

As a Pakistani, it is our duty to promote Pakistani movies and urge each other to give them a chance. If we ever want to see Pakistan at the top we need to stop associating our selves with things that are not ours. Be a Pakistani and go for Pakistani things. I myself thought it was probably like the same ol Pakistani movies with an idiotic concept, over acting and lots of chichorpan (which is what our comedy has become these days) but i was pleasantly surprised. I hope our amazingly talented Pakistanis keep making movies like; Bol, Khuda kay liye and Na Maloom Afraad,

So don't miss the last few shows of the movie that are left. Go ahead give the "Na Maloom Afraad" a chance and i am sure they won't disappoint you.  =)

My sisters and i are totally addicted to Pinterest. i have loads of Pins in my account but i keep saving them and always think ill try them once i know if it actually works.

And i thought there might be loads of people like me who literally pin these pins and never look back.

So not many people know that i like to write random little stories. So here is one for you guys to read. If you like it, i might just share some more with you.

As she heard the words coming out of his mouth, she knew what she thought would never happen, had happened. She could feel her eyes burning. No, must resist, she thought. She could not see the same man she had shared her vows with. The man who said she would always be the only one for him, stood no more in front of her. She could feel the walls closing in, the room seemed to be getting smaller, and smaller still. She got off the bed. Going towards the door, she looked back starring into this stranger's eyes who did not even flinch as her eyes watered. She slammed the door shut.

As she shut the door, she felt like she had closed a tiny little door inside of her too. There she goes, she thought. The cheery, happy go lucky girl she had eventually accepted to be, was gone. How weird is that a mere group of words can torture you to the core. Can go deep inside you and awaken those memories of pure bliss. Does he not remember how she was holding on to him that day. The day she had poured her heart out. The day she knew she had found her knight in shining armor. It seemed the armor was now starting to rust.

They say she talks too much. Did they never wonder why? She wanted to see people smiling and laughing. She loved it when people laughed at her craziness. The best feeling, she always said, is when you make someone laugh or smile. But who was going to make her laugh, she wondered. Sitting in the garden, looking at the pretty flowers, she felt numb. She could not smile let alone laugh. She begged God to make him see sense. Shivering in the cold night's air she thought of how he would always cover her shoulders with a shawl on nights out. I don't want you to get sick, he would say.

Her thoughts drifted towards her parents, and the last days she had spent with them, She remembered how her parents would laugh at her jokes and then look at her with a weird expression. They always thought she didn't notice but she did. She wondered what it meant. and now she knew. They knew what was about to come in her life. They knew that they might not see this happy little girl again. They knew her life would change, that she would change.

Perhaps it was time for a change. Perhaps, this was destined to happen. Standing up, she thought of how many times he had joked about this. She could hear his words in her mind again, hear them as if he was right in front of her saying it again, torturing her, disturbing every inch of her body. "i am in love with another woman and i am marrying her". She wanted to scream and let all her pain out. Stuffing her duppatta in her mouth she yelled, until her throat dried out. She knew he had heard her, She waited for him to come and hold her. Seconds seemed like hours. No one came.

As the silence took hold of her, she threw her duppatta on the ground. No! she was not going to take this. Just because he is a man, he does not have the right to give her pain. A pain beyond imagination. She will never agree to this madness. Stomping, she reached the door, pulled it hard took hold of his collar, not even noticing that he was wearing the same Kurta Shulwar he wore on their Nikkah and said "No i do not give you permission to do this, I do not give you permission to torture me. I do not give you permission to violate my love like this. I do not give you permission, I do not....i do not...i do not."
"I never asked for it", he said shaking her off violently. Grabbing her by the shoulders he looked in directly in her eyes and said. "Have some biryani ready. My new wife and I will eat at home before we go to bed.

He closed the door, shutting her out of his life. Leaving her alone with the pain.
