Most of the young ladies probably know about the popular brand Claire's . For those of you who dont, it is an international retail accessories brand from America very popular among youth around the world.

I had always heard so much about Claire's and last year i was lucky enough to check out an outlet in Madinah. I was over the moon and took my time browsing, all the while thinking "will it ever open in Pakistan?"

My wish was granted on 13th March 2015. Cosmo Group has officially opened the first Claire's outlet in Pakistan at Dolmen City Mall - Clifton. I could tell i was not the only one waiting for it to open here. The crowd was over powering. When i arrived could not even see the entrance of the store. It was jam packed inside and out. Everyone was super excited. Unfortunately i had missed the whole event and the activities Cosmo Group had organized for the day. But i did spot a young Elsa and a little princess in the crowd. I am guessing they were a part of the fashion show,

Unfortunately i did not have enough time to actually buy anything but i do have my eyes on some of the pieces for next time. Check out some of the things i loved.

I hope Como Group continues to bring more such amazing brands to Pakistan as they have done in the past.

Karachi, 12th March 2015: Fashion Pakistan, the leading platform for Pakistani fashion designers, is pleased to announce their collaboration with Telenor, for its popular signature event ‘Fashion Pakistan Week’ Spring Summer 2015. The extravaganza “Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week” (#TFPW15), Pakistan’s premiere fashion event, will take place from 31st March – 3rd April 2015 with their official event partners being HUM Network.

Fashion Pakistan currently boasts some of the finest designers from Pakistan fashion industry and has held similar events in the past, with the great success of the Fashion Pakistan Week Autumn Winter 2014 with the HUM Network, like always, being the support system of the Fashion Pakistan Council. This year, Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week ’15 for Spring Summer promises the upcoming event to be bigger and better in terms of both participation and attendance as for the first time in seven years a brand has come on board with the Fashion Pakistan Council to help create history at the Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week.

With the growing influence of technology, major brands like Telenor have expanded into other industries, including the fashion industry. As technology and fashion both revolve around improving lifestyle, Telenor has taken various opportunities in the past to collaborate with designers and support fashion in Pakistan. This year Telenor is working in conjunction with Fashion Pakistan to produce Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week 2015.

While announcing the schedule, Ms Sanam Chaudhri, Chairperson of the Council, said, “Telenor has been a wonderful partner in collaboration for this year’s Fashion Pakistan Week. We look forward to an even bigger and more successful event, with a strong team and a multitude of talented designers on board this will be an event to remember. ”

Ms. Wardha Saleem, CEO Fashion Pakistan, added “We are looking forward to this year’s Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week with a certain kind of fervor, which is to be experienced when you have such great partners such as Telenor and HUM Network, and great designers on board. The Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week is bound to take Karachi by storm with the great Pakistani fashion industry bringing its best to the table.”

Last month, i along with my cousins and aunt decided to watch a movie at Atrium.
After going through all of the movies being played, we reluctantly decided on Na Maloom Afraad.
I realize i am very late in reviewing this movie. but better late than never.

Na Maloom Afraad is a movie about 3 poor fellows who are brought together by fate and end up making the ultimate plan to get rick quick. What follows are hilarious situations where they try and execute their plans all the while waiting for the only thing our politicians can give Karachi. That is right, strikes. Why were they waiting for strikes? What was their "get rich quick" plan?

As soon as the movie started we were so happy with our decision. The story and direction is amazing. The actors have performed splendidly. Although, Mohsan Abbas Haider's acting becomes a bit over at some points.
The characters will make you fall in love with them. Fahad Mustafa and Javed Sheikh's dialogue delivery should definitely be praised.

I do not want to reveal the ending but it was definitely a breath of fresh air. I wanted to get entertained and that is what the movie did.

The only thing i did not appreciate was the item song "Billi"
There was absolutely no need for the song or Mahwash Hayat 's character in the movie. People might think otherwise but i don't believe every movie needs a item song for it to be a hit. The movie itself was so good i can not think of a reason why the movie makers thought it would be a cherry on top. It definitely wasn't.
Sorry, not sorry! but that is just how i feel.

As a Pakistani, it is our duty to promote Pakistani movies and urge each other to give them a chance. If we ever want to see Pakistan at the top we need to stop associating our selves with things that are not ours. Be a Pakistani and go for Pakistani things. I myself thought it was probably like the same ol Pakistani movies with an idiotic concept, over acting and lots of chichorpan (which is what our comedy has become these days) but i was pleasantly surprised. I hope our amazingly talented Pakistanis keep making movies like; Bol, Khuda kay liye and Na Maloom Afraad,

So don't miss the last few shows of the movie that are left. Go ahead give the "Na Maloom Afraad" a chance and i am sure they won't disappoint you.  =)
