[Karachi, October 14th, 2014] Daraz.pk has introduced a newly revamped website incorporated with a number of upgrades in terms of design, navigation and back-end systems support.
Enhancements in design, navigation and IT infrastructure have been done to facilitate Daraz.pk’s transition from a fashion and apparel e-tailer to a portal that offers a complete range of lifestyle products. Recent additions in product categories include smartphones, tablet computers, laptops, home cinema systems, kitchen appliances, FMCG products and many others!


The new technical capabilities of Daraz.pk have resulted in significantly reduced website load times, display of high-resolution product images, detailed product specifications and descriptions, easier checkout and ordering processes and an advanced delivery tracking function. Customers will benefit from a virtually unlimited number of products that can now be displayed on Daraz.pk; bringing a completely unparalleled online shopping experience to their screens. Furthermore, the upgrade has also been applied to Daraz.pk’s mobile site, meaning that customers can now seamlessly browse through products and order their desired items straight from their mobile phones.
Daraz.pk’s redesign, which is replete with bold colors, vivid graphics and vibrant illustrations, give it a pleasing aesthetic appeal and an innovative and gripping user interface; while the addition of the numerous new product categories results in easier navigation, browsing and product selection. While there are currently over 16,000 products available online on Daraz.pk, the number is expected to increase manifold within the next few months, with the upgraded infrastructure aimed at dealing with the anticipated spike in traffic to the site.

After ages of ignoring Pizza Hut ever since it started going down hill, my family decided to give it another chance when we heard of the new Freedom Feast deal.

Pizza Hut does not require any intro so lets just take a dive in the deal =p
Freedom Feast deal 1 includes;
2 Regular Pizzas
4 Garlic Bread
1 Brownie
All of this for Rs. 1148 - including the tax
Lets make it Rs. 1150 since when have they ever returned Rs.2 right?!

The Delivery Service
I called to place the order at around 10.30 pm, i believe. The guy told me my order will be there in 45 minutes, i asked him if they could hurry it up and he said he will make sure it is delivered ASAP.
I was pleasantly surprised when the delivery boy arrived with my pizza Oven Hot at 11pm. The delivery boy was courteous, said his salam asked me how i was and told me to be careful with the pizza cuz it was hot which in my book makes him good enough. Pappoo pass hogya! =p

Sooo yeah,  excellent delivery service. A nice change from the 1 hour (probably more) delivery wait we had to suffer once.

The Food
As for how it tasted...
Lets go from the least liked shall we. Taking the bull by the horns here hehe

The Brownie:
What is up with the quantity ? Clearly the deal is for around 3 to 4 people. 2 Pizzas are definitely not for one person. A single person aint gonna eat all those garlic breads. Then why in their right minds did they think 1 brownie would be enough for 4 people??? Do they want to see us fighting over it? A session of the hunger games maybe?

Never in my life have i ever eaten such a dry, rubbery and tasteless brownie in my life. How the heck do you ruin a brownie?? its pretty simple to make
Butter, Sugar, Eggs, Vanilla Essence, Cocoa Powder, Flour, Baking Soda and Salt (depending on the recipe) Mix it all together, bake it and you are done! Seriously its that simple! Just..i dont even...i can't...ugghh!! i couldn't even finish it!
Not at all Satisfied!

The Garlic Bread
Very little garlic, too much bread =p I think Pizza Hut should think about thinning the slices. I have always loved Garlic Bread but i did not like it all that day, extremely dry and did not even have any hints of garlic in it.
Not Satisfied!

The Pizza:
We ordered 2 flavors. Our regular choice Fajita Sicilian and because i am on a diet i ordered Cheese Lovers haha =D Hey! Everyone has a cheat day. (i have cheat DAYS)
They were definitely oven hot and looked ohh so scrumptious. I did not have Fajita Sicilian but my family says it was great. Cheese Lovers was pizza heaven. Seriously, it was so fresh and the cheese oh God it tasted ah-mazing!! If it wasn't for the pizza i would have called Pizza Hut and told them to take the whole thing away. The Pizza literally saved the dinner. Unfortunately the dessert (brownie) bulldozed the experience of the yummy pizza.
Not just satisfied but we were actually delighted with both the flavors. Yummy in my tummy it was!

The Size
With so many competitors in the market Pizza Hut should be increasing the size of the Pizza not decreasing it. Put a large pizza of the Broadway Pizza and Pizza Hut side by side and you would have to wrack you brains to understand why would Pizza Hut think someone would want to pay almost the same price for a huge difference in the sizes. If you are thinking its the taste that makes the difference, then being a marketing major i have to say that is not a very strong competitive advantage for Pizza Hut since we have been hearing continuous complains from unsatisfied customers.

The Price
Order pizzas separately if you want to but unless Pizza Hut works on the brownie, (again..one brownie?) and the garlic bread i don't see how it is worth wasting Rs. 1150 over it.
My cousin ordered a large Pizza (Fajita Sicilian) which was also worth Rs.1150 (maybe give or take a few Rs.) i would suggest you don't order the deal and just get the pizza and a drink. It will at least be worth it.

The Verdict
Pizza Hut really needs to up its game. The Pizza was the only thing i was satisfied with in a deal that has 3 items. 1 out 3 is not good at all. I know Pizza Hut has it in them and i hope they come through from the tough time they have been having. All they need to do is work on their food and the image of the brand and we will probably see them shining as one of the best Pizza places in Pakistan again.

A lipstick or as my my sister and i like to call it "Lippie" is my favorite product out of all the makeup items. When you need to go out and dont feel like doing any makeup, just put on some kajal and lipstick and you are all set to go. I am sure you all saw the happenings of the official launch, which was SPLENDID.

The event was great. I loved the ambiance of the place. The best thing is that they have designed the store for taking selfies. Seriously the lighting is great and you have tons of places where you can take pictures with your friends. Had great fun in the activites Creative Chaos had planned for us. I also won the Magnum Treasure Hunt contest on twitter at the event which was awesome hehe. Check out what i got.

Let me tell you guys about the store. The Magnum store is all about personalized pleasure. Yup, pleasure on order people that's what it is.
The Magnum Store in Karachi is the 14th in the world after opening in places like Paris, London New York Tokyo and more. Also, the amazing bit is that The Magnum Store Karachi is the 1st to open in all of South Asia. How awesome is that?!
All you need is Rs. 250 and you can enjoy the pure Belgian Chocolate Pleasure designed especially according to your taste BY YOURSELF. What more could you want right?!


So the big question is; How do you make your Magnum?
Let me walk you through it...

1. Select 3 toppings out of the 14.
You have 3 categories to select from. The classic which has the usual toppings like Chocolate Rice Crispies, Honey Comb, Fruity Pebbles and a few more
The second category has toppings like Chopped Hazelnuts, Crumbled Biscuits, Chocolate Sprinkles and more
The third category is called The Experimental. It is for the daring souls ;) Every item that you can NOT imagine to put on an ice cream is there. Chili Flakes, Blue Poppy Seed and Rock Salt were some of them.
When you are done with the selection of your toppings which is a very difficult task. Trust me on this! Your Magnum Maker will shake em in a cocktail mixer. You will move on to the other step when he is done shaking it ;)
2. Select your ice cream bar.
You have 2 options Chocolate and Vanilla. I hope they introduce more soon. It will be fascinating to have other Magnum flavors.
3. Select your dip.
Again 2 options, dark chocolate or white chocolate.
Dark chocolate! always go for Dark chocolate. Yyuummm!!

After your selected ice cream bar is coated with the dip of your choice, your Magnum is going to get bombarded with your topping. The cherry on the top is the caramel drizzle on your very own customized Magnum.

Take a look here at my customized Magnum. The toppings i chose were; chilly flakes, small candy pieces and fruity pebbles. Chose dark chocolate for my dip. and the ice cream stick was chocolate. The whole thing had caramel drizzled all over it.

If this is not the ultimate food heaven i don't know what is!
I know the chili flakes might make you think i am crazy but HEY! don't judge me. I love some spice in my life ;) hehe. It gave perfect balance to the sweetness of the ice cream.
