Lipsticks are love! They are awesome. Period. You have so many types of finish.

• Matte
• Glossy
• Semi Matte
• Shimmery
• Frosted
• Satin

As I sat to write this post, i realized that i have never done a "Whats in my bag?" post

Another day, another review and yet another lipstick ;)
i know i have already confessed my love for lipsticks numerous times but i just cant get tired of saying this! i LOVE lipsticks!!

and this time what lipstick did i get to try out? Jordana Lipstick in Raspberry.
Berry shades are my jam they are like my thing yo! and i can not stop choosing cherry redish type shades every time i have to pick a lipstick.

Naturally i was glad i got this shade when i found it in my goodie bag. i was one happy bee.

Jordana Lipstick is contained in black and silver packaging with Jordana labelled on it. The transparent lid closes with a click securing the bullet inside but to be honest it does not look very sturdy and you should be careful when handling it.


Raspberry is a beautiful cherry red shade that Asian skins can pull off easily. Its the sort of color that looks fabulous on mehndis. I dont know why the shade reminds me of mayons and mehndis hehe. Probably because the last season every makeup artist was using this shade for mehndi brides. Pair this lipstick with subtle gold and brown eye looks, the lip shade being the center of attention will pop and look absolutely gorgeous. I already have a look in mind for this which i will try out soon in sha Allah.


The texture of the lipstick is glossy and buttery. I prefer using such lipsticks because i have super dry lips and matte lipsticks and i arent really very good friends =p
The lipstick keeps my lips hydrated and stays for good long hours. Of course touch up is required if you eat and stuff but i think its fine since i always like to retouch my lipstick after some time. The lipstick glides smoothly and doesnt get in your fine lines making your lips appear fuller and yummier ;)

The Verdict

A few weeks ago i revealed to you guys the goodie bag Jordana Pakistan and J4G were generous enough to give us. The one from Jordana also contained an eyeliner which we shall be reviewing today. Click here to find out what else was in the goodie bags (yes there was more than one hehe).

I absolutely love testing eyeliners cuz i feel it enhances our desi eyes so well. One product that every single girl. whether she is into makeup or not, definitely has in her vanity is an eyeliner so yeah this is an important review people!

I always test the products myself but this time i decided to add a little twist. I gave the eyeliner to my sister to test out since she has been looking for a good eyeliner lately. I discussed it with her and she said she was up for it.

So i asked her the problems she faces with her current eyeliner and why she wants to switch.
She told me she ordered a much raved and hyped about eyeliner pencil in hopes that this will be THE ONE but failed miserably since all it did was make her look like a racoon. She complained that it never stayed on and was not the very blackest black that she wanted.

I told her to switch to Jordana Color Xtend Eyeliner in Black Out, use it for some time and let me know what she thought of it.


A few days later she messaged me saying that she absolutely loved it.
According to her Jordana Color Xtend Eyeliner does not smudge on her smudge prone eyes and did not make her look like a panda. Mission Accomplished!

Now let me tell you guys what i thought of the product.

The Verdict

This is a review for a product that according to me is the most essential item in my makeup stash; Lipstick!
That is right! i absolutely love lipsticks. Beautifully made bullets with amazing colors *sigh* just so yum! Lipsticks are one thing that i consistently use daily. So naturally you would understand my excitement when i found out that Odho Cosmetics has sent me, not one or two but FIVE different shades of lipsticks to try out.

Packaged in gold and maroon bullets these babies look gorgeous at first sight and entice you to try out the shades.

Odho Cosmetics was one of the pioneers to come up with locally made cosmetics in Pakistan. You can find their makeup stocked up at many supermarkets and retail makeup stores. They have come up with wide range of colors and items in their collections and are ready to expand their line even more.

Coming to the item in question at the moment.
All of these lipsticks are matte but somehow i feel they all have very different textures. Here are the shades i received.


Rapture:

Rapture is an amazing maroon shade and i instantly fell in love with it. Perfectly matte and gives you a gorgeous red pout. It did become a little flaky after a few hours and i had to scrub it off and retouch it. Although it is matte and i dont usually go for matte lipsticks but i love using this lipstick solely for its gorgeous shade.

Peaceful:

Peaceful is a purplish shade. The shade is not very appealing to me perhaps if it would have been a tad bit darker i would have liked it. i dont like the texture either it settles in the fine lines of my lips and makes my lips look super dry and flaky, Also the lipstick broke off from its umm fixture? i dot know what its called any ways its not sturdy at all so you better be careful when handling it.

Obnoxious:

Obnoxious is a copperish shade with bits of shimmer which i never thought i would ever like but its my favorite after Rapture. Although, like the shade peaceful it settles in your fine lines (use some vaseline or lip balm before applying the shade) but it doesnt dry out too much and looks really pretty. The shimmer doesnt show up very much but makes your lips look lustrous so that makes it worth the use.

Pleasure: 

Pleasure is a pinkish nude shade with a ton of chunky glitter in it. The shade is really pretty but the glitter ughh the glitter ruins everything. I am not a fan of chunky glitter at all and this shade has loads of it which seriously sucks. Its super drying and flaky as well. Unless you are one to go for glittery stuff then help yourself but i would suggest you skip it if you are like me and dont like glitter.

Bashful:

Bashful is a dirty brown matte shade which is not very wearable to be honest and that is the reason i reviewed it the last. You can countour with it though because the shade is perfect for that So if ever Odho Cosmetics decides to come up with a contouring kit they know which shade to go for haha. Anyways, the formula is like Rapture and doesnt settle in your fine lines. Perhaps you can try it for different looks for cosplay or maybe when you are trying to go for a gothic look.

Okay i know i promised a review regarding a lip product but i couldnt help it. I started reading this book last night and i just finished it. I just HAD to review it and let others know about it.

So finally after almost half a year i have decided to get back to blogging. I have been procrastinating for ages now and was semi active on my Instagram account sharing looks and a few events i attended over these months. Now that i am back i plan to give more time to my blog and invest my time in writing something worthwhile for you folks!

Ana's Special Tip

Last month, i along with my cousins and aunt decided to watch a movie at Atrium.
After going through all of the movies being played, we reluctantly decided on Na Maloom Afraad.
I realize i am very late in reviewing this movie. but better late than never.

Na Maloom Afraad is a movie about 3 poor fellows who are brought together by fate and end up making the ultimate plan to get rick quick. What follows are hilarious situations where they try and execute their plans all the while waiting for the only thing our politicians can give Karachi. That is right, strikes. Why were they waiting for strikes? What was their "get rich quick" plan?

As soon as the movie started we were so happy with our decision. The story and direction is amazing. The actors have performed splendidly. Although, Mohsan Abbas Haider's acting becomes a bit over at some points.
The characters will make you fall in love with them. Fahad Mustafa and Javed Sheikh's dialogue delivery should definitely be praised.

I do not want to reveal the ending but it was definitely a breath of fresh air. I wanted to get entertained and that is what the movie did.

The only thing i did not appreciate was the item song "Billi"
There was absolutely no need for the song or Mahwash Hayat 's character in the movie. People might think otherwise but i don't believe every movie needs a item song for it to be a hit. The movie itself was so good i can not think of a reason why the movie makers thought it would be a cherry on top. It definitely wasn't.
Sorry, not sorry! but that is just how i feel.

As a Pakistani, it is our duty to promote Pakistani movies and urge each other to give them a chance. If we ever want to see Pakistan at the top we need to stop associating our selves with things that are not ours. Be a Pakistani and go for Pakistani things. I myself thought it was probably like the same ol Pakistani movies with an idiotic concept, over acting and lots of chichorpan (which is what our comedy has become these days) but i was pleasantly surprised. I hope our amazingly talented Pakistanis keep making movies like; Bol, Khuda kay liye and Na Maloom Afraad,

So don't miss the last few shows of the movie that are left. Go ahead give the "Na Maloom Afraad" a chance and i am sure they won't disappoint you.  =)

Sometimes, as a blogger or a writer you are at a loss for words.
Usually for writers it is a writer's block. Specifically for bloggers i have come up with a new statement, called The Review Block.

It is the point where you do not understand how you can express your feelings without hurting the company's image.
The marketeer inside me is stopping me and telling me to use kind words and write about the positive points, while the customer inside me is screaming and yelling to not listen to a word the stupid marketeer says and just do my job, which is to write the honest opinion that i hold of the particular company.

This being my first negative review, is very difficult for me to write. As i sit in my chair thinking of how to pen down  type my views i can not help but think that i did gave the company a chance and them blowing it is not really my fault and you, my dear readers, deserve to know what happened as i set out to review the very famous, Daraz.pk

I have been publishing their press releases for some time and thought to actually see how their service is instead of just advertising for them.

Talked to their representatives at the Pitch Media Inc who were kind enough to give me a voucher of Rs. 1500.

Now lets make the whole story short
Placed the order (a sandal from Stylo worth Rs.775, 2 cosmetic products from StageLine), The amount was more than the Rs. 1500 i was given. Of course i was ready to pay the excess. Received confirmation call and was told the order will arrive in a day or two. 5 days later received an email saying my order for the sandal has been cancelled and if i change my mind or if it was sent in error then i should call.
Did so and was told that it was Stylo who cancelled my order.
Ooohkkay.
Now see the thing is. I am ordering from Daraz, hence, i expect Daraz to deliver my order. It is in no way my problem if "Stylo" cancelled it. For me, it is Daraz who is not catering to my need.
I was told that i will be notified about this issue. (Never got any call to resolve this issue. Still waiting)
2 days later the rest of my order arrived and i was asked to pay Rs. 181 which i refused, called the call center and was asked to return the parcel which i did.

Now, please understand that this was not about money. I did not mind paying the excess amount which i was liable for but since the shoe order got cancelled, the total payment should have been adjusted. The excuse given to me was that the system was down and i should just pay because even if i use lesser amount than the voucher and if there is some amount left in the voucher i can use the voucher again.
Anyhow i still refused saying that i wont be ordering again so i dont care if the voucher can be reused and this is how the first experience went.
I talked to the Pitch Media Inc and told them about my experience. They were very prompt and their CEO contacted me directly to resolve the issue for which i appreciate their effort. I was told that they had spoken to the Daraz management and i will be receiving a call soon so i can talk to them about what happened.

I received a call from Daraz after a few days and was asked about my order. I explained the whole thing. What he told me was "ji mam ap ko btana tha k ap ka order Stylo ne cancel kia tha" to which i replied that i already knew this and told him that this is not a way to mange things. Gave him a few tips to which he said "Ji mam ap theek keh rahi hain acha ap ka order stylo ne cancel kia tha theek hai? Allah Hafiz" I was baffled and i said um theek hai??!! and he cut the call.

Annnd a few days later received a call yet again. They asked me to place an order again and they had given me Rs. 2000 this time and i was assured that even if i am asked to pay some amount i can use the voucher again for my next purchase. I reluctantly agreed to this.

This time i ordered two items from Color Studio Pro and 2 from Luscious. The ones i ordered from Luscious arrived after some time (later than the time promised on the site).
The products were nicely packaged. No damage to them and were perfect from every aspect. BUT yet again i was asked to pay Rs. 130. Since, i was not home my mother paid the amount and told me later. This time i did not make any calls because this was not unexpected and i was sure my experience would be the same. After a few days another parcel arrived carrying my CSP order. I was AGAIN asked to pay, this time it was Rs. 30, which i did pay. When i opened the parcel there was only one product inside. Did not call the call center because i wanted to see when they will deliver the product if i dont remind them.
Days passed and yesterday i decided to write  an email to Pitch Media Inc again. To my dismay, i saw an email from Daraz saying that my order for the last item was cancelled and if i change my mind or if this was sent in an error than i should email them. The order was placed on 19th Nov and the cancellation email for the last item was sent to me on 1st Dec.
I thought that i had paid Rs. 160 to the delivery guy for 2 packages and my last order for Rs. 250 got cancel. So i decided to place an order for a Revlon Nail Color that i had my eyes on because they kept telling me that i can reuse the voucher if there was any amount left.
I selected the nail color and used my voucher code at check out. What i saw made my blood boil. Here is a picture for you to see for yourself.


In case you cant make it out, let me help by posting the line here:
"This type of voucher can only be used up to 1 times by the same customer" 

and so after this i decided to write the review. The service being provided is unacceptable and i apologize if any of my readers, who read the press releases on my blog and decided to order from Daraz, had the same experience. I would rather just go to any of the stores that stock their items on Daraz and buy them right there and then instead of wasting my time at this site.

Definitely a Daraz that i would not be opening anytime soon.

On October 25th Color Studio Pro invited some of the bloggers to their first ever Blogger Meet and Greet at Cafe Forty4.

I was very excited since this was going to be my first interaction with the company and my first visit to the cafe as well.

Nida from Nida's Beauty Bag and i hitched a ride together and upon arrival we met Marium Fahad, Rakshanda Khan, Bakhtawar, and Shumaila.
Shumaila, Nida, Bakhtawar and I had a whole session of photography in the smoking area. Since nobody was there we just took over the space and there were clicks everywhere hehe. Sana Nabi, who has become my selfie partner at all these events (i have a selfie with Sana from every event we have been to together =p) joined us in our photography shenanigans. Thanks to Bakhtawar of Jeebee's Glam World for bringing her dslr ;)

As we all got together we headed towards the room where CSP had arranged a set up for the Meet and Greet

The dim lights created a cosy atmosphere. Since it was also a soft launch of the new "Kohl Addict" the room was decorated in purple and black colors . There were balloons, a cake that looked like the "Kohl Addict" Black Kajal's packaging and they even had a beautiful frame made specially for us to take pics. *sigh* CSP understands us so well =p

So we talked about CSP, their makeup, what we want to see in the future. After going over what we as makeup enthusiasts look for in an eyeliner or a mascara we discussed CSP's new launches; Kohl Addict Black Kajal, Hypnotic Curve and Volume Mascara, Obsession Lash Voluptuous Volume Mascara Hypno Eyes Felt Tip Eyeliner and Eye Stylist Brush Tip Eyeliner
The products look really good. The eyeliners arrived at a great time since i have been looking for a good one.
These products are designed, keeping in mind what the customers want from each one of them. There is something for everyone in that little box of happiness CSP gave us.
They had a cute little buffet arranged for us. I especially loved the bread pudding and gonna give it a try myself soon.

Oh and how can i forget the cake. It was made especially for the occasion from Pie in the Sky.  The cake was deeelicious!!

The team was very hospitable and told us about all these products in detail. They even offered us to try them out right there and then but hey we are beauty bloggers we were all dolled up already =p And of course it is always fun meeting amazing fellow bloggers. All of us left feeling happy, goody bags in our hands, bellies filled and excited to try out the new products.

A detailed post will be up soon after i try the products. You are gonna have to wait a bit this time since i am having some kind of allergy on my eyelids =( *sniff sniff* I was really excited to try out the products. All of them look so good but not to worry i am gonna think of something ;)

I tried a recipe from Chef Step and my sister posted the pictures she took on her profile.
In 3 mins around 8 people had asked me for the recipe haha. So i thought of posting it for you guys.
This is not at all my recipe i am just going to post it here so you don't have to go through the hassle of changing scale as fit to us desis ;)

So without further ado lets get chiggly with it!!

I changed the recipe to servings of 6. I managed to make 7 out of the batter.
I only had 3 ramekins which i got from Bakers Supplies, a facebook page which caters to all of your baking needs.

So what you are going to have to do is;

First of all preheat your oven at 201'C
Grease your ramekins completely with butter and coat them with sugar. Set them aside.

Butter 68gm
Flour half a cup
Salt a pinch or half a tsp
Mix them together until it has a crumbly dough type consistency

Milk 1.5 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Mix them together and boil them in a saucepan. add the crumbly mixture and whist until dissolves and cook for a few minutes until it has a thick paste like consistency

Dark Chocolate 270 gm
Melt the dark chocolate in the rest of the mixture

3 Egg Yolks
Add the yolks and mix again until completely smooth

5 Egg Whites
Beat them in a clean bowl.
I mixed all of the sugar in the milk and did not add any extra sugar at this point
Beat the egg white till stiff peaks form and when you turn the bowl over the whites do not move or slip.

Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.

Fill the ramekins with the batter and make sure it is leveled.
Put the ramekins on a tray, baking sheet or the gold ol deghchi ka dhukkan and bake them for 20 mins.
Check to see if they spring back and take them out.
Serve em hot!

There you have it folks. It is pretty easy and you can bake them after dinner.
You can store the batter for up to a week in the refrigerator.

After ages of ignoring Pizza Hut ever since it started going down hill, my family decided to give it another chance when we heard of the new Freedom Feast deal.

Pizza Hut does not require any intro so lets just take a dive in the deal =p
Freedom Feast deal 1 includes;
2 Regular Pizzas
4 Garlic Bread
1 Brownie
All of this for Rs. 1148 - including the tax
Lets make it Rs. 1150 since when have they ever returned Rs.2 right?!

The Delivery Service
I called to place the order at around 10.30 pm, i believe. The guy told me my order will be there in 45 minutes, i asked him if they could hurry it up and he said he will make sure it is delivered ASAP.
I was pleasantly surprised when the delivery boy arrived with my pizza Oven Hot at 11pm. The delivery boy was courteous, said his salam asked me how i was and told me to be careful with the pizza cuz it was hot which in my book makes him good enough. Pappoo pass hogya! =p

Sooo yeah,  excellent delivery service. A nice change from the 1 hour (probably more) delivery wait we had to suffer once.

The Food
As for how it tasted...
Lets go from the least liked shall we. Taking the bull by the horns here hehe

The Brownie:
What is up with the quantity ? Clearly the deal is for around 3 to 4 people. 2 Pizzas are definitely not for one person. A single person aint gonna eat all those garlic breads. Then why in their right minds did they think 1 brownie would be enough for 4 people??? Do they want to see us fighting over it? A session of the hunger games maybe?

oh
that's why...
Never in my life have i ever eaten such a dry, rubbery and tasteless brownie in my life. How the heck do you ruin a brownie?? its pretty simple to make
Butter, Sugar, Eggs, Vanilla Essence, Cocoa Powder, Flour, Baking Soda and Salt (depending on the recipe) Mix it all together, bake it and you are done! Seriously its that simple! Just..i dont even...i can't...ugghh!! i couldn't even finish it!
Not at all Satisfied!

The Garlic Bread
Very little garlic, too much bread =p I think Pizza Hut should think about thinning the slices. I have always loved Garlic Bread but i did not like it all that day, extremely dry and did not even have any hints of garlic in it.
Not Satisfied!

The Pizza:
We ordered 2 flavors. Our regular choice Fajita Sicilian and because i am on a diet i ordered Cheese Lovers haha =D Hey! Everyone has a cheat day. (i have cheat DAYS)
They were definitely oven hot and looked ohh so scrumptious. I did not have Fajita Sicilian but my family says it was great. Cheese Lovers was pizza heaven. Seriously, it was so fresh and the cheese oh God it tasted ah-mazing!! If it wasn't for the pizza i would have called Pizza Hut and told them to take the whole thing away. The Pizza literally saved the dinner. Unfortunately the dessert (brownie) bulldozed the experience of the yummy pizza.
Not just satisfied but we were actually delighted with both the flavors. Yummy in my tummy it was!

The Size
With so many competitors in the market Pizza Hut should be increasing the size of the Pizza not decreasing it. Put a large pizza of the Broadway Pizza and Pizza Hut side by side and you would have to wrack you brains to understand why would Pizza Hut think someone would want to pay almost the same price for a huge difference in the sizes. If you are thinking its the taste that makes the difference, then being a marketing major i have to say that is not a very strong competitive advantage for Pizza Hut since we have been hearing continuous complains from unsatisfied customers.

The Price
Order pizzas separately if you want to but unless Pizza Hut works on the brownie, (again..one brownie?) and the garlic bread i don't see how it is worth wasting Rs. 1150 over it.
My cousin ordered a large Pizza (Fajita Sicilian) which was also worth Rs.1150 (maybe give or take a few Rs.) i would suggest you don't order the deal and just get the pizza and a drink. It will at least be worth it.

The Verdict
Pizza Hut really needs to up its game. The Pizza was the only thing i was satisfied with in a deal that has 3 items. 1 out 3 is not good at all. I know Pizza Hut has it in them and i hope they come through from the tough time they have been having. All they need to do is work on their food and the image of the brand and we will probably see them shining as one of the best Pizza places in Pakistan again.

A lipstick or as my my sister and i like to call it "Lippie" is my favorite product out of all the makeup items. When you need to go out and dont feel like doing any makeup, just put on some kajal and lipstick and you are all set to go. It is amazing how a different shade of lipstick can completely change the overall look. Pair a nude lipstick with a dark smokey eye and you create a classic. Swipe on some red lipstick with the same eye makeup and you become a daring diva.
